Assalam Aliakoom,
I am writing this email on behalf of the Granville Youth Association (GYA). The GYA have recently purchased a former Church in Granville and intent to convert it into a Mosque\Community Centre.
The property was purchased for $507,000, we still have a further $400,000 to raise by the 14th of July.
According to all legal advice we have received; the property is already a “Place of Worship” and therefore we require no further council approval to turn this property into a Mosque were we can establish the 5 daily prayers and Friday Prayers.
The property has a ready built 350 square metre hall, and is situated 500 metres from Granville Station.

Charity Australia International
Breakfast Programme for Miller Public School
Charity Australia has extended its School Breakfast programme to Millar Primary Public School. The Breakfast programme is designed to provide morning breakfast to disadvantage children who miss it due to their family circumstances. It is already running at Emertan School (in Western Sydney) for few terms. First supply of food was delivered to school by IFAM Macarthuer Circle on 18th of May and it was well received by school staff. This is not one off ton going support project. Where as second delivery is made on 18th of June by members of IFAM Macarthuer Circle to school staff.
Charity Australia International (CAI) is a humanitarian relief and development organization responding to human sufferings in emergency and disaster situations at home and abroad regardless of religion, race and nationality.

6:47pm AEST: As per Dr. Shabbir Ahmad (Imam Rooty Hill Mosque) phone call: In Sydney, Brisbane and Melbourn, there is no Sighting of Moon yet and he is waiting from other states.
7:55pm AEST: Dr Shabbir Ahmad added that In Adlaide & Alice Spring there is no Sighting of Moon as well and he is waiting from other states, specially Perth sunset.
9:03pm AEST: So far no news for the moonsighting, waiting final decision from Imam Dr. Shabbir Ahamd.
9:14pm AEST: Imam Dr. Shabbir Ahmad called with Message, "Moon has not been sighted anywhere in Australia, so Ramzaan will start on Friday, 14th of September 2007, Insha Allah!"
