CHARITY AUSTRALIA INTERNATIONAL CFN: 18563

Dear brothers and sisters,

We are in the completion of the first Ashrah of Ramadan. We pray and hope all forms of our Ibadaat are accepted. Ameen.

With this in mind, we must all pay our Zakat ul Fitr The Prophet (SAW) urged Muslims to pay Zakat ul Fitr in the month of Ramadan.

Narrated Ibn Umar: Allah’s Apostle (SAW) enjoined the payment of one Sa’ of dates or one Sa’ of barley as Zakat ul Fitr on every Muslim slave or free, male, female, young or old before the people went out to offer the Eid prayer. (Bukhari)

This year Zakat ul Fitr is to be paid at $8 per person. This amount should be paid during the month of Ramadan so the poor and needy receive it before Eid. This ensures that all enjoy the Eid celebrations.
